About

DJ NELL 7
Mobile DJ/ Club DJ/ Street DJ/
Manager/ Producer/ Sound Engineer and the list goes on & on
I began DJin around the age of 12.
Some older kids in the neighborhood use to play records while lifting weights in front of the house & I use to watch. Not sure what I was watching but the music was awesome. 80’s Classic House is what we call it today. They had the turntables on top of a dresser with what seemed to be large speakers playing the tunes. RIP DJ X-Rated & shouts out to Big & Little.
Next door was a class mate and together me & scooby watched until he say come on we can do this too. As we cross the street to Jays house we will wait for him to open the back door. As we enter the basement the same tunes playing on his DJ set up. Wow is all I can say as I watch him create a mix. It was awesome until it was my turn. I had no clue what to do or where to start. It was scary as I stopped the record & that was not a pleasant sound. “Don’t scratch my record” mean while I had not a clue what that meant or how to operate the system. But my dad has one of these at home that he plays his music on Loud on Saturday mornings. So I start the record over again and ask, how to I listen to that record to mix it with this record.
Nell 7’s claim to Fame started during the 90’s hip-hop boom. DJin clubs & parties all over Chicago, Northwest Indiana & the surrounding suburbs. Most nights he would spin records for 3 different events. He became the official DJ for Power 92.3FM in 2001. He would perform for various concerts & events representing Power 92 prior to becoming an official Morning show Producer/ Engineer. After 9yrs he made a switch to its sister station 106.3FM a more adult contemporary hip-hop format & became the weekend producer & the official mix show DJ/ Producer. Today leaving Radio behind to pursuit to regain the streets & clubs notoriety while managing upcoming artist & consulting various record labels. His newest artist jus signed a deal with DJ International Records with the single “Dance The Night Away”, Sinclare is on his way to becoming the next certified Gold artist.
